Learn one mushroom at a time

Look at the cap, underside, whole stem and habitat together. A single photo or a colour match is not enough. Keep unknown specimens away from mushrooms intended for food, and never taste unknown mushrooms. Ask a mycological adviser when unsure; our short profiles are starting points for learning.
